With over 20 years of military experience and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by military personnel and their families, I strive to integrate a wealth of life experience, knowledge and expertise to my role as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialize in working with Veterans, Men, Teens and Couples by using evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I work with clients as they examine their beliefs about themselves or others that may be keeping them stuck and unfulfilled.

Military Experience and Expertise
Having served in the military for two decades, I intimately understand the unique challenges and stressors faced by military personnel and their families. I possess firsthand knowledge of the military culture, deployment-related issues, post-deployment transitions, and the impact of trauma on individuals and relationships. This background enables me to connect deeply with clients and provide tailored support to address their specific needs.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
As a skilled practitioner of CBT, I strive to work with clients as they identify and modify negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. We will work to focus on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and assist clients in developing practical coping strategies, improving self-awareness, and achieving lasting positive change.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing, a collaborative and person-centered approach that empowers clients to explore their ambivalence and find the motivation to make positive changes in their lives. By creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment, I guide clients as they tap into their inner strengths and enhance their self-motivation.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT)
Drawing on experience earned working with trauma survivors, I work to utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address the complex effects of trauma on individuals and families. With sensitivity and expertise, I look to walk with clients through the process of healing, helping them develop effective coping skills and regain control over their lives.
Gottman Method Couples Therapy
As a level 2 practitioner of Gottman Method Couples Therapy, I specialize in working with couples, utilizing research-based interventions to strengthen relationships and improve communication. I work to provide a space where couples learn navigate conflicts, rebuild trust, enhance intimacy, and develop a deeper understanding of each other's needs and desires.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
With training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, I work with clients to identify emotional bonds within relationships, helping couples and families develop secure attachments and foster deeper connections. By identifying and addressing underlying emotions, I will work in supporting clients as they create healthier relationship dynamics and foster long-lasting change.
